If you send an SOS and the app cannot reach us, it does not give up.
What Aegixo does
- Saves your alert and location on your phone and shows No connection right now.
- Opens a text message to your emergency contacts with a map link to your last known location. Tap Send yourself; your phone does not allow apps to send texts silently.
- Keeps retrying. The alert goes to campus security automatically the moment your phone is back online.
If you close the app, or it is closed, before the connection returns, Aegixo picks the alert back up the next time you open it.
What you can do
- Move to open ground or a spot with a better signal.
- Call school security or the emergency services directly with a normal phone call, which may work even when mobile data does not.
- Make sure your emergency contacts are set up, so the text can reach someone.
Be aware: until it reconnects, your alert has not reached campus security. The text to your contacts and a phone call are your fastest options.
