These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Aegixo, a campus safety service operated by Pavictek Digital Limited ("Pavictek", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Aegixo you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Eligibility and your account
Aegixo is for students currently enrolled at a participating Nigerian tertiary institution. You must give accurate registration information, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us if you think someone else has access to your account. Each student may hold one account, and signing in on a new device signs you out on the old one.
2. What Aegixo provides
- SOS alert: sends your live location and details to your campus security team.
- Silent alarm: the same alert without a sound from your phone.
- Walk with Me: lets you share your live location with companions you invite until you mark yourself arrived. It is peer-to-peer and is not monitored by campus security unless you separately send an SOS.
- Fake call: a decoy incoming call that runs only on your device.
- Nearby emergency services: a list of police, hospitals, fire and ambulance services near you, from OpenStreetMap data, which can be incomplete or out of date.
- Anonymous incident reports, emergency contacts, wellness resources, safety tips and news.
Aegixo is currently rolling out in stages and some features are in beta. We may change, add or remove features, and we will try to tell you about material changes.
3. Pavictek's role in emergencies
Alerts go to your institution's security team. Pavictek's own response staff can also view and take over alerts from any partner campus to assist, as described in our Privacy Policy. This is an additional layer of support and does not create a duty on Pavictek to respond to every alert.
4. Subscription and payment
Full access to Aegixo, including the ability to send an SOS, requires an active subscription of ₦8,000 per academic session (one year). Payment is taken through Nomba, a licensed Nigerian payment processor. Any processing fee charged by Nomba is added at checkout and is separate from the ₦8,000 price. A subscription lasts one year from the date your payment is confirmed. It does not renew automatically: you renew it yourself, and if it lapses the app will ask you to renew before you can send another SOS.

5. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: use SOS and silent alarm only for genuine safety situations, never use Aegixo to harass, stalk or monitor someone without their consent, and never try to access accounts or systems you are not authorised to use. Repeated false alarms or deliberate misuse can lead to a warning, suspension or termination of your account.
6. Campus security and Pavictek staff accounts
Staff accounts are created by Pavictek at an institution's request, not self-registered. Campus security access is limited to alerts and incident reports from that staff member's own institution, and Pavictek staff access is limited by role. Staff must use that access only to respond to alerts and reports, and must not copy, share or misuse student information.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you submit, such as incident descriptions and photos or videos. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people who need it to handle your alert or report, as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not upload anything unlawful or anything you do not have the right to share.
8. Third-party services
Aegixo relies on third parties such as Nomba, Google Firebase, OpenStreetMap and our hosting provider. We are not responsible for outages or errors in services we do not control, though we will take reasonable steps to limit their effect on you.
9. Intellectual property
Aegixo, its software, design, name and logo belong to Pavictek Digital Limited or its licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the apps for their intended purpose. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or attempt to interfere with the service.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Aegixo at any time and can ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@aegixo.com. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these Terms, including for misuse of SOS or silent alarm, or that puts the service or other people at risk.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Aegixo is provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent the law allows, Pavictek Digital Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, Aegixo, including delays or failures in delivering an alert caused by network conditions, device problems, GPS accuracy, the availability of campus security staff, or third-party outages beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Nigerian law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Aegixo evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will tell you in the app or by another reasonable means. Continuing to use Aegixo after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
