Data Retention & Your Rights

How long we keep each kind of data, and how to access, correct or delete yours.

Last updated 13 October 2026 · Pavictek Digital Limited

This page shows how long Aegixo keeps each kind of data, and explains how to ask us to show, correct or delete yours. It supports our Privacy Policy.

1. How long we keep your data

DataHow long we keep it
Alert location trail (SOS and silent alarm)Deleted automatically 30 days after the alert closes, whether it was resolved or cancelled. A daily job does this. An alert that is still open is never purged.
Walk with Me positionOnly your most recent position is stored, and it is overwritten as you move. It is cleared 30 days after the walk ends.
Alert record (type, time, status, who handled it, resolution notes)Kept while your account exists, as part of your institution's safety record. On a deletion request we remove or de-identify it.
Account and profile (name, phone, email, department, level)Kept while your account is active. Removed or de-identified when you ask us to delete your account.
Medical details and emergency contactsKept until you change or remove them in the app, or ask us to delete your account. Removing a contact in the app stops it being shown to security.
Incident reports and evidenceKept as part of the institution's safety record. You can ask us to delete reports you submitted.
Payment recordsKept as long as accounting and legal obligations require, even after account deletion. We keep the reference, amount and dates, never card details.
Notifications historyKept with your account and removed when it is deleted.
Security and audit logs (sign-ins, staff actions)Kept for security and accountability, and for as long as needed to investigate misuse or meet legal obligations.

We do not keep a standalone history of where you have been. Location is stored only as part of an alert or a walk.

2. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to:

  • Access: ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correction: have inaccurate or incomplete data fixed. You can edit your profile and contacts in the app yourself.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your personal data, subject to the legal exceptions above.
  • Restriction and objection: ask us to limit, or object to, certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent: for things that rely on your consent, such as medical details. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before.
  • Complain: to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you think we have handled your data unlawfully.

3. What you can do in the app

  • Edit your profile, medical details and emergency contacts at any time.
  • Cancel an alert you sent by mistake.
  • Review your own SOS history under Activity.
  • Check the status of incident reports you submitted.

4. How to make a request

  1. Email hello@aegixo.com with the subject "Data request".
  2. Say what you want: a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion.
  3. Write from the email address on your account, or include the phone number registered to it, so we can confirm it is you. We may ask for more proof if we are not sure.
  4. We will acknowledge your request and respond within the time the law requires. If we cannot do part of it, such as keeping payment records, we will tell you why.

Deleting your account ends your access to Aegixo. If you only want to stop using the app, you can simply stop; nothing renews automatically.
