- Open the app and tap Register.
- Choose your institution. Search by its name or enter its code.
- Fill in your details: full name, a username, your phone number, your email and a password of at least 8 characters. Your matric number is optional.
- Verify your phone. We text you a 6-digit code. On many phones the app reads it automatically.
- Allow permissions when asked. See App permissions.
- Add your details (optional but recommended): your medical profile and emergency contacts.
- Subscribe to unlock the app. See Pay for your subscription.
About your username
Your username is 3 to 30 characters: letters, numbers and underscores. It is how friends find you for Walk with me, so you never have to share your phone number. It must be unique.
Things to know
- Each student can have one account, and one phone number can only be registered once.
- Your phone number is checked by an SMS code, so use a number you can receive texts on.
